Abstract: The author pointed out that we should pay attention to several issues in the term translation of dyeing and finishing. In order to ensure the accuracy of translation, we should concern the connotation and extension of the terms concepts. To ensure the standardization of translation, we should refer to those standard norms of related disciplines. While translating the material terms, the chemical structure of a substance and the meaning of Chinese characters should be taken into account. If a phrase has several explanations, it should be translated based on the context. Moreover, we should develop new terms on the basis of inheriting the existing terms.
