Abstract:

Hermeneutic translation studies in China have long been plagued by inconsistent understanding, diversified translations, and non-standard usage of terminologies, which hinders the dissemination of academic achievements.Based on Heidegger’s and Gadamer’s original texts in German, with reference to their English and Chinese translations, while taking the theoretical characteristics of translation research into consideration, this paper explores the philosophical connotations of these terms,as well as their precise implications in translation studies.Ultimately,it provides their Chinese translations for reference, thereby promoting the standardized use of philosophical terms in translation studies.
