Abstract:

Since the outbreak of COVID-19 more than three years ago, many names of COVID-19 have emerged in China and abroad. In China, names like novel coronavirus pneumonia(NCP), novel coronavirus infection, etc. were used; while in abroad, WHO named the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19), and proposed the post COVID-19 condition, and also other common names like long covid, post covid syndrome, sequelae of covid-19, etc.. Through discrimination and analysis, we put forward that coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) and post COVID-19 condition proposed by WHO should be used in a unified manner. According to the related requirements of terminology, we put forward suggestions on standard terms for further examination and approval of the name of COVID-19 and its symptoms.
