Abstract:

Under the situation of rapid social and economic development in China, the landscape engineering buildings occupy a considerable proportion in the construction of new urban areas, science parks, rural towns, garden parks, tourist attractions, rural revitalization, urban renewal, and other relative areas. In the process of design and construction of landscape engineering, the terms of both botany and engineering architecture are intersecting and producing the new ones of landscape engineering. In this article, we consider and discuss the background and necessity of the new terms of landscape engineering preliminarily, and suggest that the local terms of landscape engineering compiled previously may be used as the basis for the national terms of landscape engineering in future.
