Abstract:

Chinese characteristic expression terminology refers to official core expressions that embody the socialist system with Chinese characteristics.This paper combines the translation strategies of culture-specific items proposed by Aixelá and analyzes the translation methods of terms in political texts using examples from Xi Jinping:The Governance of China Ⅲ with empirical methodologies.This paper reveals that the translation of Chinese characteristic expression terminology primarily employs referential translation as the core strategy,while strategically incorporating supplementary translation methods,thereby achieving the dual objectives of ensuring accurate conveyance of national stances and enhancing the efficacy of international communication.
