Abstract: Conducting terminology teaching and training requires us to gain a deeper insight into the nature and characteristics of the term as well as to explore the connections of the nature of the term with that of terminology education.But the present situation is that people are not aware of the nature of teaching and learning entailed in terminology and this nature is under studied.The author holds that it is the nature of teaching and learning entailed in terminology that determines the significance of the terminology education.Priorities should be given to needs analysis in the area of teaching and training difference,different types of learners and teaching adaptability in terminology education.Moreover,the development of the learners’ terminological competence as the teaching goal should be highlighted.
