Innovation models of transliteration can be classified as seven kinds: 1) zero-translation, 2) pure transliteration, 3) homophonic translation, 4) combination of transliteration and semantic translation, 5) pictographic translation, 6) omission transliteration, and 7) coinage of new characters.
