Abstract: Translating legal terminology with color-loaded words involved requires translators to correctly understand the cultural meanings. On the basis of legal settings and cultural meanings of this kind term, this article proposes a conciseness translation principle for the extension of consistency principle of legal terminology. Therefore, the translation quality and standardization can be improved if translators use literal translation strategy under the guidance of conciseness translation principle.
