摘要： 汉语“震旦”一词源于佛经,为古代印度人对中国的称谓。“震旦”在中国地质学界的使用源远流长,有其特殊科学含义。探讨“震旦”在中国地质发展史中的演变,对地质学研究具有一定的意义。

Abstract: As the title for China in ancient Indian, “ZHENDAN” is the derived from Buddhist scriptures.The time of use is very long, and has its own special scientific meaning. Exploring “ZHENDAN” in Chinese history in the evolution of geological has a certain sense.
