Abstract:

The mutual understanding of terminologies in the field of digital humanities serves as an significant bridge for academic exchange and knowledge sharing between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. This article takes journal papers as the data source for terminology collection and constructs a comparative table of digital humanities terminologies across the Taiwan Strait. The terms are categorized according to the differences in their expressions across the strait, which can be attributed to four aspects: historical habits, connotations, translation habits, and textual expression habits. The glossary of terms resulting from the research can serve as the foundation for the construction of a digital humanities terminology database, aiming to deepen the theoretical research of digital humanities and provide assistance for the construction of a digital humanities academic community.
