摘要/Abstract

摘要： 珠宝术语的跨学科性和专业性较为突出,因此翻译的准确性至关重要。文章分析了珠宝英语术语的特点,总结出术语词性主要涉及名词、动词和形容词,宝石名词具有不同后缀形式,缩略语和名词化结构广泛使用并存在构成规律,据此提出珠宝术语汉译以直译和零翻译为主,并介绍了在翻译实践中提高汉译效率的策略。

Abstract: Gemological terms are characterized with their interdisciplinary and specialty, so the accuracy of their translation plays a vital role in the business of gemological field. This paper analyzes the characteristics of gemological terms from the lexical perspective, and summarizes that the word class includes nouns, verbs and adjectives, nouns of gems has different suffixes, and the abbreviations and noun structure are widely used and have their own characteristics of formation. This paper also proposed that literal translation and zero translation are mainly applied to English-Chinese translation and some relevant translation approaches are provided.
