聚焦术语的专业话语分析——以“一带一路”话语为例

Specialized Discourse Analysis Focused on Terms: A Case Study of the “One Belt and One Road” Discourse

摘要:

专业话语分析,作为术语认知话语分析理论的改进,由之前的术语视角明确拓展至专业学科视角,主要包括话语的专业辨识、话语的专业解读和话语的综合分析三个步骤,旨在聚焦于术语的专业视域鉴察和话语理解,促进大众对话语中专业内容及其使用的理解等。文章以“一带一路”话语为例,开展专业话语分析,在建立相关话语语料库与术语表之后,分析其中代表性术语“一带一路”的认知语义与语法,综合术语和话语中的其他语言表征以及专业学科视角的三原则评估话语。研究发现:术语“一带一路”的核心认知机制为概念转喻,涉及结构省缩等构式化过程;与该术语相关的普通话语语境,基于概念隐喻和概念整合,构建起专业框架与普通框架之间的联系;话语真实性与积极性的提升方式包括引用权威专家言论,兼用高值与低值情态词,少用人称主语和模糊性词汇等。

Abstract:

Specialized Discourse Analysis (SCDA), as an improvement upon the theory of Terminology Cognitive Discourse Analysis (TCDA), explicitly extends from the former terminological perspective to the specialized disciplinary perspective, which primarily includes three steps: specialized identification of discourse, specialized interpretation of discourse, and comprehensive analyses of discourse. The aim of SCDA is to examine and comprehend discourse from a specialized standpoint focused on terms, and to help the ordinary people understand the specialized content and its application within discourse. Taking “the Belt and Road” discourse as an example, we conducted a specialized discourse analysis. After establishing relevant discourse corpora and terminology lists, we analyzed the cognitive semantic and grammatical contents of the representative term “the Belt and Road”, integrated terms and other linguistic representations within the discourse, and evaluated the discourse according to three principles of the specialized disciplinary perspective. Our findings demonstrate: (1)the core cognitive mechanism of the term “the Belt and Road” lies in conceptual metonymy, involving constructionalization processes like structural reduction; (2)the common discourse of this term, based on conceptual metaphor and conceptual blending, builds connections between specialized frameworks and common frameworks; (3)means of improving authenticity and positivity of the discourse include citing remarks from authoritative experts, applying modal words with both high and low values, and minimizing the usage of personal subjects and ambiguous vocabulary, etc.
