摘要：

核心义是词义发展的主导特征义，文章分析得出《说文解字》所释“保”义并非本义，而是引申义，并运用义位结构分析法和复音词联系法，确定“保”的核心义为“使稳定或免受损害”。据此剖析了“保”字各个义项与核心义的关系以及义项间的联系，说明核心义在词义引申中的主导作用。同时从义项联系、引申义列的发展逻辑、复音词构词语素选择差异的缘由等方面揭示了核心义的价值。

Abstract:

The core meaning is the dominant characteristic meaning in the development of word meaning.This article analyzes that the meaning of “bao” as explained in Shuowen Jiezi is not the original meaning but a derived meaning.Using the meaning-position structure analysis method and the compound word association method，the core meaning of “bao” is determined to be “to stabilize or protect from harm”.Based on this，this article examines the relationship between the various meanings of “bao” and its core meaning，as well as the connections between these meanings，illustrating the dominant role of the core meaning in the derivation of word meanings.Additionally，it reveals the value of the core meaning from various perspectives，including the connections between meanings，the developmental logic of derived meanings，and the reasons behind the differences in the selection of morphemes in compound words.
