Abstract:

There are differences between synonym acceptability ratings(normative statuses) in the terminology standardization work documents of the China National Committee for Terminology in Science and Technology(CNTERM) and the Standardization Administration of the People’s Republic of China(SAC).According to the practical experiences of standardizing TCM terminology,the similarities and differences between the two systems were compared and analyzed.Full form and abbreviated form of a term belong to expression mode of term but not rating.To integrate the two systems with well-defined rating and user-friendly description can resolve synonym acceptability rating issues in TCM terminology standardization.
