Construction of Translation Norms for Civil Aviation Terminology:A Social Systems Theory Perspective

摘要:

在全球民航业中,航班运营、技术交流及法规制定等关键环节均依赖于有效的语言沟通。其中,民航术语翻译的准确性堪称重中之重,作为保障民航业健康有序发展的关键要素,其直接关系到能否避免误解与事故的发生。因此文章聚焦于民航术语翻译系统,深入探讨其社会系统特性,从自我创生、自我指涉、异己指涉和沟通四个维度展开分析,揭示出该系统既开放又封闭的复杂特质。基于上述研究,文章进一步强调,民航界与译者必须对民航术语翻译的运作机制拥有深刻且透彻的理解。唯有如此,才能确保其翻译成果获得国际民航领域的广泛认可,并在实际工作中得到有效应用。

Abstract:

In the global civil aviation industry,key aspects such as flight operations,technical exchanges,and regulatory formulation all rely heavily on effective language communication.Among these,the accuracy of civil aviation terminology translation is of paramount importance,as it directly determines whether misunderstandings and accidents can be avoided,serving as a crucial factor in ensuring the healthy and orderly development of the civil aviation.This paper focuses on the system of civil aviation terminology translation,delving into its system characteristics.It conducts an analysis from four dimensions:autopoiesis,self-reference,other-reference,and communication,revealing the complex nature of the system that is both open and closed.Based on the aforementioned research,this paper further emphasizes that both the civil aviation community and translators must possess a profound and thorough understanding of the operational mechanisms of civil aviation terminology translation.Only in this way can the translators’ translation outcomes gain widespread recognition within the international civil aviation community and be effectively applied in practical work.
