Semantic Expansion Analysis of Network Crime Terms from the Multimodal Perspective

Abstract:

With the development of information technology,the term of cybercrime has presented a complex semantic expansion phenomenon.From the perspective of multimodal semantics,this paper reveals the evolution law of cybercrime terms in different modalities such as text and image,sound,etc.The semantic expansion is manifested in various forms such as domain transfer,conceptual metaphor and semantic field reconstruction.Based on the theoretical framework of cognitive linguistics,the term of cybercrime produces semantic integration effect in multimodal environment,forming a unique cognitive mapping model.This semantic expansion has a profound impact on the identification and judgment of cybercrime,which is of great value for improving relevant legislation and judicial practice.
