中医药名词英文翻译与规范原则关系的探讨

摘要： 介绍了中医药名词双语工作须遵循的原则、工作目的,对其英译原则现状进行阐述和分析,并综合对中医药名词特点的分析,最终得出结论:中医药名词英文名规范工作的基础是对中文术语的规范;英文名规范原则的制定同样要遵循规范术语工作的原则;中医药名词英译原则只是英文名规范工作及制定规范原则的基础之一,二者密切相关。

Abstract: The study aims to differentiate the translation principle and the standardization principle of English names of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) terms. Based on comprehensive analysis of the bilingual work principles and the goals of TCM terminology work of different scholars and organizations, we proposed that the foundation of standardization of English TCM terms should be the standardization of Chinese TCM terms. The prescriptive terminology work principles must be followed while drawing up standardization principles of English TCM terms. Translation principle is only one factor that affects the draw up of standardization principle.
