Abstract:

Variant forms of terms are very common phenomenon in Chinese terms,reasons of this phenomenon are use of different Chinese characters in term translation or the development of Chinese language. When processing and standardizing variant forms of terms,we need to follow principles of generality,systematism and justification;and need to adopt suitable methods,get a sense of classification,and master certain knowledge of etymology. After finished the standardization of variant forms of terms,we should guide users adopt the recommended standard terms, and observe their dynamic development process.
