摘要： 以《孙子兵法》四个英译本中军语英译的描述性分析为基础,探讨了中国古代军语的英译策略,提出了重复、转换拼写法、语言翻译与文外解释或文内解释相结合的方法。

Abstract: This thesis explores the translation strategies that pertain to translating ancient Chinese military terms from Chinese into English. Based on the descriptive analysis of respective translations of military terms as culturespecific items and special terms in the four English versions of The Art of War, the thesis contends that the combination of repetition and orthographic adaptation and linguistic translation as well as extratextual gloss and intratextual gloss should be adopted as an approach for our reference.
