摘要： 望山是古代瞄准具的一个组成部分,相当于现代步、机枪上的表尺,两者的功用基本相同。将英文的rear sight意译为表尺比直译为后瞄准具要准确并更具内涵。

Abstract: “Wangshan” is one of the components of the ancient sight. It served a same purpose to the rear sight of modern rifles and machine guns. As a result of paraphrase, “biaochi”(rear sight) is more accurate and connotational than word-for-word translation. Paraphrase always has the advantages of the translation of the foreign terminology through contrast on ancient terminology and modern terminology.
