驾驶舱:cockpit还是flight deck?

摘要：

“驾驶舱”有多个对应的英语术语,使用最多的是cockpit和flight deck。利用语料库分析工具,总结这两个术语在国际民航组织、美国联邦航空局、中国民用航空局的航空标准与规章中的使用规律,以及在波音和空客飞行机组操作手册中的使用情况,结合术语规范的相关理论,文章提出:cockpit作为通用术语和优先术语,具有较强的构词能力,偏向于驾驶舱话音、音频相关概念;flight deck为美国联邦航空局和波音公司所青睐,可将其作为专业术语、许用术语和cockpit的同义术语。这两个术语作为术语元素,可参与构建更加规范的行业术语集。

Abstract:

Pilot’s compartment is designated by two most frequently used terms cockpit and flight deck. The paper surveys five text corpuses: International Civil Aviation Organization Annexes, Title 14 of Code of Federal Regulations, Regulations of Civil Aviation Adiministration of China, Airbus Flight Crew Operating Manual and Boeing Flight Crew Operations Manual. This paper draws the conclusion on the theory of term normalization that cockpit could be categorized as generic term and preferred term, which is more likely used in cockpit voice and audio⁃related terms, while flight deck technical term, admitted term and synonym term of cockpit, which is preferred by Federal Aviation Administration and Boeing Flight Crew Operations Manual. Both could be used as term element to build set of civil aviation terms.
