工程地质学术语易混淆用字辨析

Analysis on Confusable Scientific and Technological Terms in Engineering Geology

摘要:

在审校工程地质类稿件的过程中经常发现用词、用字的混淆。归纳出几组出现概率比较高的易混淆词语,通过查阅相关的工具书以及权威的专业书,并结合全国科学技术名词审定委员会的审定结果,从它们在工程地质学中的应用出发对这些词语进行辨析。发现混用的原因主要涉及以下几类:(1)正异误认,例如“黏”和“粘”;(2)不谙惯例,例如“砂土”和“沙土”;(3)音同形似,例如“岩芯”和“岩心”;(4)汉化不当,例如“摩尔-库仑”和“莫尔-库仑”。对这些易混淆词语总结出其合理的使用方式,从而为相关专业的作者和编辑提供借鉴。

Abstract:

In the process of review and proofreading of papers in engineering geology, it is frequently found some authors mix up some words or use wrong words. This paper summarizes several groups of confusable words. Through consulting relevant reference books and some authoritative professional publications, and refering to the results of China National Committee for Terms in Sciences and Technologies, we sum up and analyze these words from application in engineering geology. We found the confuse reasons are as follows: (1) Different usage of Chinese characters, such as “nian” and “zhan”. (2) Unclear conventions, such as “sand”. (3) Wrong use because of same pronunciation and similar font, such as “rock core”. (4) Improperly Chinese name translation from English, such as “Mohr”. This study concludes the reasonable pattern of these words and provides reference for authors and editors in related disciplines.
