摘要：

近代是西方医学技术大量引入的时期，技术的引入也离不开其术语进行本土化的过程。文章基于近代报纸杂志，以“vaccine”的本土化进程为例，探寻“vaccine”的多个主流译名的使用频次、趋势，并对各主流译名运用进行分析解读。从中发现，“vaccine”的各译名使用频率和使用高峰会因时疫、研究动向等有所变化，而其本土化进程在推动疫苗技术在我国推广的同时，也实现了 “旧” 汉字和知识与 “新”术语和知识的交融。

Abstract:

Modern times were a period when a large number of Western medical technologies were introduced.The introduction of these technologies was also inseparable from the process of localizing their terms，and the introduction of these technologies was inseparable from the process of localizing their terms.Based on modern newspapers and magazines，this paper takes the localization process of “vaccine” as an example to explore the usage frequency and trends of multiple mainstream translations of “vaccine”，and analyzes and interprets the application of each mainstream translation.It is found that although the usage frequency and peak usage of each translation of “vaccine” may change due to epidemics，research trends，etc.，the localization process of “vaccine” is not only a process of promoting vaccine technology in China，but also an integration of “old” Chinese characters and knowledge with “new” terms and knowledge.
