摘要：
传统的中医八法包括汗法、吐法、下法、和法、温法、清法、消法、补法,“下”为单字格的中医术语动词,属于中医八法之一。在大中华文库汉英对照版《本草纲目选》中,“下”一词出现的频率极高,且译法多样。文章以该书中涉及的“下”这一中医术语动词作为研究对象,分析其在表达不同含义时的英译策略,以期为今后的医药典籍翻译提供一定参考。

Abstract:
As a single-character verb in TCM terminology,“Xia”(下) constitutes one of the fundamental therapeutic approaches.In the Condensed Compendium of Materia Medica,this TCM verb appears with notable frequency and has diverse translation approaches.This paper focuses on the English translation of the term throughout the book,analyzing its translation strategies for semantic variations.The research aims to provide some reference for the translation of medical classics in the future,particularly in the domain of traditional Chinese pharmaceutical literature.
